Freya 3 Months

I was initially going to do a one year post but there is so much to share! So I am going to break it up into 4 sections. 1-3 months, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12.

Months 1-3!

June 11, 2021 Freya Luna Gadsden made her way into this world! So much excitement! She was born a little before 2 pm and was very alert! Daddy was able to cut her umbilical chord, and I was awake and so happy to see her beautiful face. Both of us were healthy and happy, and back to the room we went!

After about 3 days, we were kicked out and sent home! Our first stop: WILLOW! She was incredibly excited to meet her baby sister. She is so happy to be a big sister and is super helpful.

Home being my moms until I was able to climbs the stairs to the camper. Me being home was short lived, a few days later I am in the ER with pre-clampsia and shipped back to Murrells Inlet where I gave birth. Freya got her first sleepover with Gramma.

Alex and I stayed in the hospital for 3 more days and I was finally released. A day or 2 after we went back to our camper. That in itself was an adventure but not the kind you want.

We were sold a very crappy camper until some heavy lies. It kept us mostly dry and very hot for the short time we were there so I guess I could be grateful...

She got all the love and attention you could ever want. We did co-sleep, mostly due to lack of space, but also because I love sleeping with her. She was so snuggly and fun to sleep with.

Month 1

Her first month was perfect. We stayed home, and watched a lot of Netflix. Daddy is her favorite person and she does okay in the bath tub. Her cousins are over the MOON to see her and want to play with her all the time. Annie does good holding her, but Andy wants to YEET her all over because he doesn't quite understand she is fragile. He does share his blankets with her though, while trying to take her bottle!

She is attentive and alert. She knows when you are talking to her. She loves attention. Big sister Willow wants to help change diapers and feed her. She tries to play but is still a little rough. She loves to stare and hold Freya.

Freya discovered she likes the MAM bottles, and has decided she no longer wants a paci, thank you very much. She will be using her fingers from now on (they are super tasty) and she will hear none of your nonsense.

Month 2

She loves to nap. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 3 days old, so she is already a pro. She loves the muslin blankets and sitting next to momma kitty. She is very facially expressive and makes us laugh. She likes the idea of outside but the sun makes her eyes hurt, so she will stay in the shade. Gramma's house is her favorite, all her cousins are there!

Month 3

Daddy is her favorite human, she loves her big sister so much and trying to roll is on the TOP of her list. We got her first intentional smile and the day we moved into our apartment, her first giggle! She is much happier in the apartment with controlled heating and air. And she has room to explore! She is excited about her new adventure!

Out-takes: Freya decided Willow had too much energy first thing and was OVER IT.

While Alex doesn't quite believe in all the things of the church, he is fine with me raising the girls in the church. This first family photo was taken the day of Freya's baby blessing!

She loves these blankets, soft and warm. I just love this photo of her.

Stacy Handy gave us this onesie in a group of clothes and it is PERFECT for my girl.

One upon a time when I was freshly squeezed out, my dad ran out to acquire a dress for his beautiful baby girl. 32 years later, his baby girl would dress hers in the same one.

We are blessed with the best fam[ily] anyone could ask for. Uncle Michael Martin got Freya this baby yoda hat (for Willow's entertainment) and this baby burrito blanket and hat set. Willow loves her baby sister yoda! And we have the adult blanket to match that Willow uses!

ALL THE COUSINS!!
