Late night pondering.
Today was my first day back to church in 4 weeks. Still upset that it took this long for me to get a free Sunday to go. I've missed it.
It has been hard these last few weeks. I like going to church. You can feel the spirit. At least, I can. This morning was the perfect example.
I had been joking with Ryan and Petersen about how I had become a heathen, missing so many weeks in row. I was feeling down, kind of sad. I was wondering if I was losing that "new" feeling.
The best way I can describe it is like when you get a new car, and you have that new car smell. And after a few weeks or months, it goes away. I was worried that was happening to me. Boy, am I glad I was wrong.
This morning was wonderful. It's like I got to recharge my batteries, so to speak. It was nice to see everyone, and hear two amazing speakers. I was glad to be back where I belong.
I am still praying every day, and trying to read the book of Mormon every day, though that one is a little tougher for me. The way the book is written is almost in circles, so sometimes my eyes cross. Ryan showed me this nifty feature on my gospel library app though. It has audio so I can listen and read, which helps me so much more.
I also love to check out the LDS website and search for other articles and talks written by our fantastic leaders. Seriously, president Uchtdorf is the man.
I am so happy I went this morning. It was just what I needed, and the talks where spot on with some things I had laying on my heart.
There you have it. My late night, last minute blog post, for the two of you still reading. Have a good night. I have a pretty good one I am working on, I can't wait to share it. :)
